After the long 62-game regular season, 12 teams remain in the hunt for the USHL’s Clark Cup, one of the most coveted trophies in all of junior hockey. The Clark Cup Playoffs are set to begin Monday, with the opening round of the playoffs featuring four best-of-three series. The top two teams in each conference will be resting up with a first-round bye.
After a weekend full of outdoor games in the NCAA and NHL, the USHL is getting in on the act later this week as the Youngstown Phantoms and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders are set to do battle at FirstEnergy Stadium for the 2023 USHL Cleveland Classic Presented by Winmark. The USHL's Youngstown Phantoms and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will be taking it back to hockey's roots when they play under the open sky at FirstEnergy Stadium, home of the NFL's Cleveland Browns. The league announced Thursday that the two USHL Eastern Conference foes will meet in a regular-season contest outdoors on Feb. 23.

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. – If there was a theme of Day 2 of the DICK’S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic, it’d probably be goals galore. Every single game featured one of the teams scoring six or more goals on their way to victories. There were 38 goals total scored among the five games, an average of 7.6 goals scored per game. So if you liked scoring, Friday’s games were for you.
